James Begg Sheepskin pipe bag

I first met Jim Begg in 1981, when we both played in Scotland's Grade 1 Babcock-Renfrew Pipe Band, and he was learning his craft as a bag maker at that time. I've been playing Jim's bags non-stop since 1985, and they are also played by top bands such as Inveraray and District, Field Marshal Montgomery, Boghall & Bathgate, Strathclyde Police and many others.

Sheepskin is not for everyone, but for those who want the resonant, lively sound of a traditional setup, this is a great product. If you are concerned about moisture, add a split stock and tube, which gives you the ability to adjust moisture/dryness as needed.
