This beautiful old book was published by W. & R. Chambers, Limited who were a well-known Scottish publishing house from the early 1800s, as as well as their famous Encyclopaedia, they also published many books about Scottish history.

This book is 13cm wide x 18 cm tall (5" x 7"), hard, cloth-bound cover, with several full-page illustrations. 128 pages.

This lovely edition has a biography of each of the Scottish leaders, including quoatation, poetry and thought of the time, and thoughtful chapter illustration.
