Part of the early 20th century "McMillan's Pocket Classics" this handsome wee book has Scottish writer and essayist Thomas Carlyle's (1795-1881) essay on Robert Burns, along witn a small selection of Burns' poems. The back two or three blank pages have been filled with student notes in lovely cursive handwriting.
