Made in Scotland by excellent kiltmakers, these kilts use 8 yards of medium-weight 13 ounce cloth, and can be pleated either to the tartan (same pattern on front and back) or to the line (back of kilt has a unique look depending on tartan).
Available in a full range of tartans. Browse the Lochcarron Weavers site to select a tartan, and then contact us to check on availability. Some tartans are not always in production/available. There are other tartan mills, too, so let us know if you don't see what you are looking for, and we can check with other sources.
Final kilt pricing is dependent on measurements (amount of cloth used). Price quoted is for a standard 8-yard kilt. Prices will be adjusted up/down according to cloth used.
Kilt measurements:
1. Waist - measure the waist about 2" above the hip bones. Measuring tape should be snug.
2. Hips - measure the widest part of hips/backside. Measuring tape should be a little loose. Not a snug measurement.
3. Length - measure from waist point to top of knee. Measure both legs to double check.
4. Height - this measurement will be used to check above.
Make sure measurements are not taken over bulky clothes, with wallets etc. in pockets.
